Our baby is one month old ALREADY :(
It is so hard to believe that a whole month as gone by already. Life is flying by. Kennedy has been a real angel. She was taking the boob for a good two weeks but then since I had a reduction, I was not getting a lot of let down so we gave her some formula in a bottle. Now she is is a hungry hippo and wants it fast which my breast does not do so pumping is what is in store for us. I am cool with that as she is still getting the good boobie milk. She does not fuss unless there is a good reason which is not too often with both mommy and daddy home with her. We were waking her up every three hours to feed her but now we wait 4 to 5 hours unless she tells us which is not very often at all. I guess we are lucky from speaking to other moms but Steve thinks it is his parenting skills, we will let him think that ;) Speaking of Steve, he has been amazing and he is just a fabulous father. I love you honey! with everything going smoothly, we might just want to do this again in the near future but YES we know that there is no guarantee that the next one and the next pregnancy will go as easy but together we can get through anything!
Meeting the 3 S club!!!
For those of you who did not know but my mom had 6 bestfriends who played a huge role in her life for over 25 years. These beautiful ladies have been a big part in my life as well. I could only pray that Jacqueline Kennedy has one friend as special any of these 6 women. I love you and can't wait till you all meet my sweetie, someone your friend would have spoiled like crazy at Christmas on your shopping trip in December for sure.
Our first true road trip to TORONTO!!!
A few weeks before I had Kennedy, I won another radio contest. The prize was two tickets to see Dirty Dancing in Toronto with a two night hotel stay at 1 The King Suites (Awesome hotel)and two flights aboard Porter airlines. We were on the fence whether we were going to take the trip but then decided to. Our next decision was whether to fly or drive? With Little miss being just 4 weeks old, we decided to drive. She was amazing. When we got to Toronto we had a quiet in the suite so that we could rest up for the busy day we had played the next day. On Saturday, we went to Eaton's Centre and then to the CN tower which was a nice adventure. Since we had already seen the musical, daddy spent a night in with his little girl and our good friend Meg, took the train up from Burlington and saw the play with me. Thanks Meg. Before heading home to Aylmer, we had a quick visit with Uncle George and Aunt Susan for some yummy frenchtoast. Thanks guys. I must say that our first long road trip with our monkey was a big success. The Lapointes or the Renwicks are next on our trip visits.
